Vision
It’s always good to have a clear idea on what the end result will look like. Take inspiration from anything you’ve seen at a show or online. Nowadays it’s become even easier with video games and AI renders to use at your disposal to see how your car will look EXACTLY how you want it to.
Plan
Once you’ve gotten a clear vision and path with how you want your build to look like, make a plan of all the parts that you need to buy and how you’re going to fit them in order.
Suspension
Our recommendation for you is lowering you car first. Why? Because once you’ve set-up your ride height on your Coilovers or Air Suspension, You can then work out what Wheel & Tyre combo you’re going to go with. Plus personally a lowered car on stock wheels compared to aftermarket wheels with stock height looks far better in our opinion at this stage of your build.
Wheels
When it comes to your selection think about what look you’re actually going for. Wheels can be a make or break for a cars look. And also make sure the Wheels and Tyres will actually fit within your bodywork or else it’s game over (unless you’re going for a widebody look, then crack on!) Own It or Evolve It
So you’ve fitted your lows and your wheels and now you have 2 options to think about. If you declare that you’re happy with how your car has turned out from where it came from, Then congratulations! You’ve got essentially what you need for at a bare minimum and you’re ready to hit the shows!

Exterior
If you want your car to stand out from how it came out the showroom then there is a plethora of bodykit options to choose from! You can be as unique and as creative as you want! You may also want to fit a wing or a splitter and side skirt extensions or maybe upgrade your lights. With new bodywork also come new paint or wrap so you can choose to repaint these in your existing colour or really go out there with something wild!
Interior
The interior of your car is your own personal space, and with that being said and us being personal about this ourselves…..This is where you can really show people your car’s identity and your creativity. Whether that be a retrim of your existing interior or bucket seats with colour coded harnesses to match the car or your favourite colour. Everything from the steering wheel to the gear knob can be customised to your liking, and if you really want to go for a killer show build, Why not add some amazing audio to your car and create an amazing boot build that will blow the crowds away!
Performance
This is what it’s all about, You know you want to make it go faster! With an array of paths to go down you might want to go for all out performance for your sick track build. You may simply want some shiny new engine parts for that insane engine bay build for the shows. Maybe you just want a nice loud exhaust to let everyone know you’ve arrived or some big brake kits to fill out those shiny new wheels you’ve bought!
Make It Yours!
After following all these steps your project car really will and truly be yours! But a project car is never truly finished and you can always strive to improve it bit by bit. Always be on the lookout for new parts whether that be to improve it’s look further or performance parts to make it run better. And any little accessory or anything to a livery will always give your car that little bit more character and personality to stand out amongst the crowd!
